New Technology for Study Club Communications ~ Study Club Connect

Study Club Connect as developed by Drs. Ken Hebel and Reena Gajjar of the Hands on Training Institute of London, Ontario, Canada. In running their own study club these co-Directors realized there was room for improvements, especially the day-to-day communications with their members so they decided to develop a web-based solution to streamline the connection to members.

This online tool makes study club communication, event management, case presentation, continuing education, patient referrals and case discussion easier for everyone involved. The features include a discussion board, built-in email and a text messaging system that sends invitations to one member or all members in your group. If some members don't reply, the system will send another message only to those who have yet to respond. It can even track your members continuing education credits.

Existing study clubs or practices looking to streamline their processes can implement this comprehensive yet easy to use system. "This is a game-changing technology for the dental industry," said Dr. Ken Hebel. "The net result is a more effective, more efficient, study club model that increases referrals and optimizes the costs associated with maintaining an active study club."
